Boom, Bam, Whiz, Zoom, Screech! These are not sounds your dog or cat every wants to hear. The 4th of July is a great time for celebrating our country, but our pets would prefer a nice, quiet holiday with a few extra treats tossed in.
Unfortunately, most of you probably experienced the sounds of 4th of July until 3 or 4am. I knew our dogs would not appreciate it and we were prepared. We put 2 drops of T-Away essential oil blend and 3 drops Ylang Ylang essential oil in our diffuser and much to my surprise the dogs pretty much slept through the 4th! Our dogs also really like Lavender so we mix Lavender essential oil and water together in a glass spray bottle and also give them a few spritzes on their back.
This 4th of July was a success! Happy dogs equals a happy home.
